RE: DESIGNATION OF THE SITE SELECTION AND CONSTRUCTION OF THOSE MAJOR
FACILITIES OF A PUBLIC UTILITY CONSISTING OF PIPELINES AND STORAGE
AREAS OF UTILITIES PROVIDING WATER AS A MATTER OF STATE INTEREST
PURSUANT TO §24-65.1-401, C.R.S., AND WELD COUNTY CODE §21-1-210(B)
A public hearing was conducted on July 6, 2015, at 10:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer, Chair
Commissioner Mike Freeman, Pro-Tem
Commissioner Sean P. Conway
Commissioner Julie A. Cozad
Commissioner Steve Moreno
Also present:
Clerk to the Board, Esther Gesick
Assistant County Attorney, Brad Yatabe
Planning Services Department representative, Tom Parko
The following business was transacted:
IR I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated December 9, 2014, and duly published
December 12, 2014, in the Greeley Tribune, a public hearing was conducted January 19, 2015,
concerning the Proposed Designation of the Site Selection and Construction of those Major
Facilities of a Public Utility Consisting of Pipelines and Storage Areas of Utilities Providing
Water as a Matter of State Interest pursuant to §24-65.1-401, C.R.S., and Weld County Code
§21-1-210(B), at which time they deemed it advisable to continue the matter to March 23, 2015,
and then again to May 27, 2015, and then again to July 6, 2015. On July 6, 2015, Bruce Barker,
County Attorney, made this a matter of record.
No public testimony was offered concerning this matter.
Commissioner Freeman moved to continue the Proposed Designation of the Site
Selection and Construction of those Major Facilities of a Public Utility Consisting of Pipelines
and Storage Areas of Utilities Providing Water as a Matter of State Interest pursuant to
§24-65.1-401, C.R.S., and Weld County Code §21-1-210(B). The motion was seconded by
Commissioner Conway, and it carried unanimously. There being no further discussion, the
hearing was completed at 10:57 a.m.
