Home My WebLink About20150436.tiff RESOLUTION RE: APPROVE ADDENDUM TO 2014-2015 PLAN FOR CORE SERVICES PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Addendum to the 2014-2015 Plan for the Core Services Program from the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, to the Colorado Department of Human Services, Division of Child Welfare Services, commencing February 1, 2015, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said addendum, and WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said addendum, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Addendum to the 2014-2015 Plan for the Core Services Program from the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, to the Colorado Department of Human Services, Division of Child Welfare Services, be, and hereby is, approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized to sign said addendum. Griego, Director, Human Service e do RE: Addendum to the Weld County Departme t of Human Services Approved Core Plan for FY 2014-15 regarding the Special Economic Assistance (SEA) Funds Enclosed for Board approval is an addendum to the Departments approved Core Plan for FY 2014-15 regarding the Special Economic Assistance (SEA) funds. This agreement was reviewed under the Board's Pass-Around Memorandum dated January 28, 2015, and was approved for placement on the Board's Agenda. SEA per Volume 7 has had a maximum allowance of up to $400.00 per family per rolling year. Volume 7 was changed effective 1/1/2015 to allow Counties to increase the maximum allowance to $2,000.00 per family per rolling year. The proposed increase, which will be reflected in our Core update, will allow for greater flexibility in the purchasing of"hard" services to support families and/or prevent Out Of Home placement.
