MINUTES Attendance: Barton A. Buss, Director of Managment & Budget Neal Carpenter, CNC/NIIPQ Norm Carlson, Commissioner Bob Shreve, CNC/NHPQ Don Bower, Sheriff Loren Bley, CNC/NHPQ Dick Shockley, Undeisheriff Henry Baker, HPCC Andy Petruzzi, Buildings & Grounds Dick Humphries, HPCC Jim Albertson, HPCC Mike Stark, HPCC I. Phase I A. Old Warranty Items: 1. Lobby fixtures will be cleaned and bill paid by Howard Electric. 2. Dimmer switches will he converted to conventional as soon as material arrives. 3. Clocks for lobby and assembly room on order. 4. Blocked conduit between Phase I and Courthouse will be dug up and replaced or repaired. 5. Factory representative for snow-melt mats will be here the first of the week of 2/7/77 to check out roof sensing device and/or timer. 6. Items compelted by H.P.C.C. Paint door stop at Judge's Chambers Window trim at communications - stained Blocked off vent in basement telephone closet Parking gate installed and adjusted Assembly room sign replaced Commissioners' table top finish - sample ready 7. Phase I ramp heating solutions to be presented to H.P.C.C. by NHPQ for pricing by 2/1.0/77. Wire mesh heat mat is a possible solution. 8. Telephone closet ventilation field order priced by H.P.C.C , $140 - Action suspended to see if present modifications will be a sufficient solution. 9. Kitchen problem - action - - Architect will investigate different contracting methods for vending machines. Neal Carpenter and Bart Buss will meet with Jerry Goodman on the operation of the kitchen. County will invertigateadvertizing possibilities to obtain some additional exposure. 10. Door #117 exit device field order priced by H.P.C.C. $117 - action, to he installed on Tuesday, 2/8/77. 11. F.O.//1 - sidewalk stair and access - suspended until trash problem is investigated further. B. New Warranty Items 1. Mechanical room pump problems. Mike Richter of Economy Mechanical attended meeting and versed group on pump problems. Pumps are not equipped for con- tinuous use at existing temperatures. Jere Hamilton of NHPQ failed to attend meeting. A meeting of the pump manufacturer, Jery Hamilton, Loren Bley, Henry Baker and Andy Petruzzi is scheduled for Thursday 2/10/77. The time will be set by Architect and he will notify all of above. A solution for pricing will be submitted by 2/11/77. 3. A box with bell buttons will be installed along with sidewalk stair for users to notify either jail or buildings and grounds of their arrival. 4. Additional accessible flooring panels will be delivered to the County by 2/18/77. Henry Baker and Andy Petruzzi will investigate maintenance require- ments of these panels to determine if carpet is going to be a consistently reoccurring problem. 5. Architect will prepare a field order and necessary drawings for adding microphone jacks to base of the front of the commissioners table and acquiring one table microphone.By 2/11/77. II. Phase II A. Modifications 1. NHPQ submitted a field order to install a neutralizing tank. H.P.C.C. will price. Another tank may be required at the crime lab sink. Decision by 2/11/77. 2. F.O. on manual closure devices in ductwork is forthcoming. By 2/14/77. 3. Mechanical deductions from Economy were submitted to NHPQ. 4. NHPQ will investigate telephone room ventilation requirements in Phase II. Decision by 2/11/77. 5. NHPQ will investigate Fire Department requirement for fire hydrant at N.W. corner of site. 6. Architect will study the trash system and possible new alternatives for entire complex or will justify present system and make recommendations for more efficient use. 7. The Sheriff, undersheriff and NHPQ will have meeting to discuss probable Iro- blem areas and possible revisions to - Interior glass requriements - by 2/11/77 - Jail kitchen - Cell intercoms - delete, just have a call button with intercom in the corridor located very high on the wall. - Cell light fixtures - to recessed - Floor finishes - by 3/1/77 Accessory mountings 8. NHPQ is to have completed, revised finish schedule in early March. Will give status report of schedule to H.P.C.C. on 2/10/77. • - 2 - III. General A. Sheriff showed pictures of Boulder Jail;presented letter from Boulder Sheriff to substantiate his requests for certain modifications. B. Andy will inform H.P.C.C. as to the results of the plate inserts for the heating table. C. H.P.C.C. moved the fence between jail and Courthouse to facilitate parting for Courthouse officials (on 2/2/77) H.P.C.C. also returned five parking s ails in the basement of Phase I. The remainder should be returned by Wednesda , 2/16/77. IV. Meetings A. The next Construction/Coordination meeting will be field Friday, 2/17/77. If. a. need arises for an earlier meeting all involved persons will be contacted by' Dick Humphries. Starting 2/25/77 the meetings will be held every Friday. • Mike Stark Project Engineer 2/4/77 Hello
