RE: APPROVE WAIVER OF ANNEXATION IMPACT REPORT -TOWN OF AULT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a request to waive the requirement for
submittal of Annexation Impact Report for the Annexation of the Town of Ault Cemetery and
Water Treatment Plant, in conformance with Section 31-12-108.5 (2014), C.R.S, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said request of waiver
in adherence to the statue, that states, "Such report shall not be required for annexations of ten
acres or less in total area or when the municipality and the board of county Commissioners
governing the area proposed to be annexed agree that the report may be waived."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the request of waiver from the Town of Ault to the County of Weld, State of
Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, be, and hereby is,
approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 17th day of June, A.D., 2015.

RE: Town of Ault Annexations
Dear Mr. Parko:
The Town of Ault is in the process of annexing the Town's cemetery and wastewater treatment plant. The
cemetery is less than 10 acres, but the wastewater treatment plant encompasses over 15 acres. This would
normally require an impact report be submitted to the County Commissioners. This letter is a request to waive
the requirement for the,impact report.
The wastewater treatment plant is located on the west side of Weld County Road 35 just south of Ault. As a
matter of fact a small portion of the north edge of the plant is already within town limits. This land will
continue to be the site on which the town's wastewater is treated. As such the usage will not change once
annexed.
The Town respectfully requests that the impact report requirement be waived for this annexation.
