RE: APPROVE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR CONTINUATION OF
"HEALTHY YOU" CURRICULUM AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - KENDALL
ANDRESON NUTRITION CENTER
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Memorandum of Understanding for the
continuation of the "Healthy You" curriculum between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by
and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of
Human Resources, and the Kendall Anderson Nutrition Center, commencing January 12, 2015,
and ending December 31, 2015, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said
memorandum of understanding, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said memorandum of
understanding, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Memorandum of Understanding for the continuation of the "Healthy
You" curriculum between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of
County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Resources, and
the Kendall Anderson Nutrition Center be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized to
sign said memorandum of understanding.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 21st day of January, A.D., 2015, nunc pro tunc January 12, 2015.

COLORADO SUBJECT: MOU with CSU's Kendall Anderson Nutrition Center for
continuation of"Healthy You" curriculum.
The Weld County Safety & Wellness Committee wishes to extend our working relationship with
Colorado State University's Kendall Anderson Nutrition Center. The KANC has recently
upgraded their"Healthy You" weight management and mindful eating curriculum with up to date
information and tools. We have had an arrangement with the KANC to use this curriculum since
2011 and many employees have benefitted from the information obtained in the classes. The
KANC is requesting a $250 revised curriculum purchase fee to be followed with an annual $100
renewal fee in 2016-17 to cover the cost of any future revisions in the material. This request has
been an approved budgetary item. The MOU provided by the University is attached.

Memorandum of Understanding
Between CSU's Kendall Anderson Nutrition Center and Weld County
January 12, 2015
This is an agreement between the CSU Kendall Anderson Nutrition Center, hereafter referred to as KANC,
and Weld County,represented by Staci Datteri-Frey.
KANC staff agrees to:
• Provide electronic files of the 2015 updated Healthy You curriculum including participant content and
educator guidelines for 6 classes
• Answer questions regarding information included in Healthy You materials
Weld County staff agrees to:
• Print up to a maximum of 100 copies of the Healthy You curriculum
• Refrain from making any unauthorized copies or use of Healthy You materials
• Pay KANC an agreed upon fee of$250.00
• Provide feedback for improvements or changes
Timeline
This MOU is active from January 12, 2015 through December 31,2015. A new MOU must be signed after
January 1,2016.
