RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENTS AND REAPPOINTMENT TO FAMILIES, YOUTH AND
CHILDREN COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, vacancies currently exist on the Families, Youth and Children Commission,
and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Kelli Roderick be appointed to said board as
the Foster/Adoptive representative, to replace Cindy Almond, with a term to expire December 31,
2017 (nunc pro tunc February 1, 2015); that Paola Garcia be appointed to said board as the
Probation representative to replace Veronica Ibarra, with a term to expire December 31, 2017
(nunc pro tunc January 1, 2015); and that John Gates be reappointed to said board as the Local
School District representative, with a term to expire December 31, 2017 (nunc pro tunc January 1,
2015), and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint Kelli Roderick and Paola Garcia and
reappoint John Gates to said board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Kelli Roderick and Paola Garcia be, and hereby are, appointed, and that
John Gates be, and hereby is, reappointed to the Families, Youth and Children Commission, all
with terms as noted above.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 18th day of May, A.D., 2015.
