Re: Weld County Audit
Dear Mr. Martindale:
In an email dated January 7, 2015, Todd Attalla with your firm has advised Weld County that your
firm has been requested by Encana to conduct an audit on their behalf. Paragraph 15 of the
agreement between Martindale Consultants, Inc., and Weld County, dated January 6, 2014, states:
Conflict of Interest. During the term of this Agreement, the Contractor shall not perform
similar services for persons, firms, or entities, including governmental entities, which have the
potential to create a conflict of interest, unless the potential conflict is disclosed to and
approved by the BOCC.
Chris Woodruff, Weld County Assessor, Robert Frick, Weld County Attorney, and Don Warden,Weld
Director of Finance and Administration, have all reviewed your request and have advised the Board
of Weld County Commissioners they have determined there is no conflict of interest regarding your
proposed audit work with Encana and the Weld County audit.
Therefore, in accordance with paragraph 15 of the agreement between Martindale Consultants, Inc.,
and Weld County, dated January 6, 2014, the Board of Weld County Commissioners approves your
audit work with Encana.
