INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW
This letter is intended to serve as the site drainage overview for the above referenced
project. Baseline is processing a Use by Special Review ( USR) application for
improvements to land located in the East 1/2, of the Northwest 14 of Section 36 , Township 5
North , 62 West in Weld County. Currently the site is completely pervious, consisting of
native vegetation with no structural improvements . Total acreage of the site is
approximately 180 acres . A new underground saltwater disposal well (SWD) is proposed
for the site . The well , in addition to the facility that will operate the site , will encompass
approximately 3 . 19 acres. New gravel access roads and a gravel production area will be
installed .
EXISTING SITE DESCRIPTION
The proposed site is situated south of Weld County Road (WCR) 56 and west of WCR 89,
approximately 6 .6 miles west of the Morgan County Line . The site and surrounding area is
undeveloped rangeland . In addition , separate oil and gas production facilities exist to the
north and west. No existing drainage issues are apparent.
PROPOSED SITE DESCRIPTION
A subdivision exemption (SE) application will be prepared and submitted along with the
proposed SWD Use by Special Review application . This SE lot will encompass
approximately 3 . 19 acres of the parent parcel . The remaining areas within the parent parcel
will remain largely unchanged . Proposed improvements will include re-grading and access
improvements over a disturbed area of approximately 3 . 19 acres . In addition , the site
pavement (impervious surface) will be gravel covering the majority of the site . The
applicant is responsible for providing a water quality feature at the downstream end of the
developed site that conforms to the methodology outlined in Volume 3 , Section 3 . 3 .0 of the
Urban Storm Drainage Criteria manual .
DRAINAGE CONDITIONS
The site drains to the east towards the existing reservoir. Proposed site grading will
maintain historic drainage patterns and flow to a water quality feature prior to leaving the
site . Flows will continue west via overland sheet flow. There are no known issues with the
current drainage or existing culverts.

WAIVERS FROM CRITERIA
Due to the size of the existing parcel , 320 acres, the minimal amount of disturbance , the
small percentage of impervious surface ( 1 % ) being added within the basin , in addition to
the remote nature of the project, a waiver from stormwater detention is being requested .
CONCLUSION
The proposed drainage system will continue to follow historic drainage paths. The runoff
from the site will pass through a water quality feature prior to sheet flowing along historic
drainage patterns.

INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW
This letter is intended to serve as the site drainage overview for the above referenced
project. Baseline is processing a Use by Special Review ( USR) application for
improvements to land located in the East 1/2, of the Northwest '/4 of Section 36 , Township 5
North , 62 West in Weld County. Currently the site is completely pervious, consisting of
native vegetation with no structural improvements. A new underground saltwater disposal
well (SWD ) is proposed for the site . The well , in addition to the facility that will operate the
site , will encompass approximately 3 . 19 acres. New gravel access roads and a gravel
production area will be installed .
EXISTING SITE DESCRIPTION
The proposed site is situated south of Weld County Road (WCR) 56 and west of WCR 89,
approximately 6 .6 miles west of the Morgan County Line. The site and surrounding area is
undeveloped rangeland . In addition , separate oil and gas production facilities exist to the
north and west. No existing drainage issues are apparent.
PROPOSED SITE DESCRIPTION
A subdivision exemption (SE ) application will be prepared and submitted along with the
proposed SWD Use by Special Review application . This SE lot will encompass
approximately 3. 19 acres of the parent parcel . The remaining areas within the parent parcel
will remain largely unchanged . Proposed improvements will include re-grading and access
improvements over a disturbed area of approximately 3 . 19 acres. In addition , the site will
be covered with gravel pavement (40% impervious surface) over the majority of the site.
The applicant is responsible for providing a water quality feature at the downstream end of
the developed site that conforms to the methodology outlined in Volume 3, Section 3 . 3. 0 of
the Urban Storm Drainage Criteria manual . The calculations below reflect a required
WQCV of 0 . 05 acre-feet:
WQCV = ((0 .91E - 1 . 190 + 0 . 78 :/12 ) xA
= ((0 . 91 (0 .40)3 - 1 . 19(0.40)2 + 0 .78(0 .40))/12) x 3. 19 = 0. 05 acre-feet
Where :
WQCV = Water Quality Capture Volume (acre-feet)
I = Imperviousness (% )
A = Watershed area in Acres

DRAINAGE CONDITIONS
The site drains to the east towards the existing reservoir. Proposed site grading will
maintain historic drainage patterns and flow to a water quality feature prior to leaving the
site . Flows will continue west via overland sheet flow. There are no known issues with the
current drainage or existing culverts.
CONCLUSION
The proposed drainage system will continue to follow historic drainage paths. The runoff
from the site will pass through a water quality feature prior to sheet flowing along historic
drainage patterns .
