Home My WebLink About20151730.tiff RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS MINUTES BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WELD COUNTY, COLORADO JUNE 15, 2015 The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in the Weld County Administration Building, Greeley, Colorado, June 15, 2015, at the hour of 3:00 p.m. • ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof: Commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer, Chair Commissioner Mike Freeman, Pro-Tem Commissioner Sean P. Conway Commissioner Julie A. Cozad - EXCUSED Commissioner Steve Moreno Also present: County Attorney, Robert T. Frick Clerk to the Board, Stephanie Frederick Controller, Barbara Connolly MINUTES: Commissioner Moreno moved to approve the minutes of the Board of County Commissioners meeting of June 10, 2015, as printed. Commissioner Conway seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. • AMENDMENTS TO AGENDA: There were no amendments to the agenda. • CONSENT AGENDA: Commissioner Freeman moved to approve the Consent Agenda as printed. Commissioner Moreno seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. • PUBLIC INPUT: No public input was given. NEW BUSINESS: • 1) CONSIDER CHANGE IN BOUNDARY LINES OF COMMISSIONER DISTRICTS IN WELD COUNTY, COLORADO: Frank Haug, Assistant County Attorney, requested approval of the revised boundary lines and he confirmed, it has been noticed in compliance with requirement. Carly Koppes, Clerk and Recorder, was present to answer any questions. No public testimony was offered concerning this matter. In response to Commissioner Moreno, Ms. Koppes stated this process has nothing to do with party affiliation, rather, it is adjusted based on an attempt to make each district equal based on population.The effected citizens will be notified that they will be moving from Commissioner Cozad's district to Commissioner Kirkmeyer's district. Commissioner Moreno moved to approve said change in boundary lines. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Conway, who noted this is done every two years, rather than waiting the customary ten years. There being no further discussion, the motion carried unanimously. RESOLUTIONS AND ORDINANCES: The resolutions were presented and signed as listed on the Consent Agenda. No Ordinances were approved. Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfully submitted by the Clerk to the Board.
