I stopped at Mr. and Mrs. Anderson' s house to drop off some film for
them and confirmed that they had received a copy of the letter that
Lee Morrison sent to the Anderson' s attorney recently. They stressed
their disappointment in this recent development as set forth in the
letter and assured me once again they did not think Rech had stopped
dumping into his pit because they have seen trucks drive in through
Rech ' s private property drive to the east of the Anderson ' s house
and they feel quite sure that Amoco is bringing waste to dump at
Rech' s site also. I pointed out that we must have substantial proof
of this in order to pursue the matter and at this point in time we
did not have and we could not continue to ask them to make
observations for the County. I advised them that I would continue
to make regular field checks at the Rech site as I was instructed to
do so by the County Attorney' s office.
I then drove up to RPoh ' s disposal site and observed that the c9yke
which had originally been constructed around the edges of the leach
field, had been removed. I further noted that the router which had
been running down the borrow pit beside the private road to the site
now is dry and the County Road is in better condition than it has been
on all my previous inspections. This would indicate that Stan Rech
is not allowing waste disposal to be -dumped. There is no ponding water
pres t on tnc surfa-cc of the loch-field at this tiii e ei T1tL . No
contact was ,made and no pictures were taken.
