Ms.Relford:
Upon reviewing the bid sheets that were submitted for the Town of Platteville Police Department,one
which came from John Elway Chevrolet for a 2016 Chevy Tahoe SSV with a bid of$50,914 and the
second from Johnson Auto Plaza,with a bid of$51,926.60, I find that both bids are responsive to the
specifications that had been submitted.
Both bids are within$1,012.Of each other and from outside appearances,they both are competitive.
In checking through the bid that was submitted by Johnson Auto Plaza, I noted that there was more
detail attached in what was included in the pricing,when comparing it to the bid that was submitted by
John Elway Chevrolet.
John Elway Chevrolet bid a 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe SSV with a delivery date 150 days out.Johnson
Auto Plaza bid only a 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe(not SSV)with a 90-120 day delivery.
With the information that has been provided in the bid sheets,either vendor appears to meet the
minimum bid specs and appear to be acceptable.
