ORDINANCE NO. 5 RE: IN THE MATTER OF THE SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION FOR THE YEAR 1976. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado that it is necessary to make a supple- mental appropriation for the year 1976 , and WHEREAS, the Director of Management and Budget has ad- vised the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that it is estimated that expenditures : General Fund $474 , 424 Road and Bridge Fund 350 , 000 Intragovernmental Agency Fund 22 ,300 Health Fund 127, 197 L ' Social Services Fund 70 , 500 for Weld County will exceed the budgetary appropriation for the year 1976, and WHEREAS , revenue other than property taxes will be available from Federal Grants , State Grants and other sources in the total amount of $1, 044 , 421. 00. WHEREAS, this is a case of an emergency caused by a con- tingency which could not have been reasonably foreseen at the time of the adoption of the 1976 Budget, and WHEREAS , by Colorado Revised Statutes , 1973 Chapter 29-1-114 does in an emergency allow the governing body to authorize the expenditure of funds in excess of said budget, by ordinance, duly adopted by a two-thirds (2/3) vote. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County Commissioners , Weld County, Colorado, that the expenditures in excess of the 1976 : General Fund Budget $474 , 424 Road and Bridge Fund 350 ,000 Intragovernmental Agency Fund 22 , 300 Health Fund 127,197 Social Services Fund 70 , 500 which was made necessary by an emergency caused by a contingency which could not have been reasonably foreseen at the time of adoption of the 1976 budget are hereby approved. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that an emergency exists which re- quires that this Supplemental Appropriation Ordinance be enacted 950790 iC aS8- forthwith, and, therefore, this Ordinance is declared to be an Emergency Ordinance under the provisions of Sections 3-14 of the Weld County Home Rule Charter.
