RE: Expenditures of Non-Equitable Shares from resolution 07/15/14 01
On April 21, 2015 Weld County District Attorney Michael Rourke delivered the attached letter to the
Weld County Drug Task Force Control Board. The intent of the letter was to inform the WCDTF
Control Board of how his office utilized the non-equitable funds granted in 2014 for technological
updates to Weld County Court Divisions 11 & 12.
The WCDTF Control Board appreciated the correspondence from District Attorney Rourke and
informed him that a copy of his letter would be forwarded to the BOCC. Since the project came in
$2,635.08 under budget the WCDTF Control Board authorized the District Attorney's Office to utilize
the remaining funds for further technological updates.
Please contact me if I can be of further assistance.

Re: Accounting of expenses from Control Board Grant
Gentlemen,
The purpose of this memo is to give this Board a final accounting of the monies spent by the
District Attorney's Office from a grant authorized by this Board. As you will recall, the purpose
of the requested grant was to update the technology in Divisions 11 and 12 that is used by
attorneys from my office for evidence presentations in trials and other hearings. The amount of
the grant awarded by this Board was$13,765.00. Below are the actual amounts spent on the
various portions of this project,(amounts confirmed by Julie Jordan,Project manager,Weld
County IT):
1. Monitors for courtroom(20) $2,489.00
2. Flat panel TV's(2) $1,842.00
3. Elmo document projector $2,277.44
4. Elmo document projector $2,064.00
5. Mounting hardware/HDMI cables $365.04
6. IPads (3) $2,092.44
Total $11,129.92
Although Weld County Buildings and Grounds and IT personnel were involved in the
installation of the equipment, the County did not seek reimbursement for any of the personnel
time.
I am particularly pleased that this project came in$2,635.08 under budget.
I want to extend my sincere gratitude to this Board for your generosity and assistance in funding
this project. The improvements to the technology in Divisions 11 and 12 will immediately result
in more professional, thorough and persuasive evidence presentations to juries and judges in
major felony prosecutions.
