Alan Caldwell DATE: 05/18/15 RE: Expenditures of Non-Equitable Shares from resolution 07/15/14 01 On April 21, 2015 Weld County District Attorney Michael Rourke delivered the attached letter to the Weld County Drug Task Force Control Board. The intent of the letter was to inform the WCDTF Control Board of how his office utilized the non-equitable funds granted in 2014 for technological updates to Weld County Court Divisions 11 & 12. The WCDTF Control Board appreciated the correspondence from District Attorney Rourke and informed him that a copy of his letter would be forwarded to the BOCC. Since the project came in $2,635.08 under budget the WCDTF Control Board authorized the District Attorney's Office to utilize the remaining funds for further technological updates. As you will recall,the purpose of the requested grant was to update the technology in Divisions 11 and 12 that is used by attorneys from my office for evidence presentations in trials and other hearings. The amount of the grant awarded by this Board was$13,765.00. Below are the actual amounts spent on the various portions of this project,(amounts confirmed by Julie Jordan,Project manager,Weld County IT): 1. Monitors for courtroom(20) $2,489.00 2. Flat panel TV's(2) $1,842.00 3. Elmo document projector $2,277.44 4. Elmo document projector $2,064.00 5. Mounting hardware/HDMI cables $365.04 6. IPads (3) $2,092.44 Total $11,129.92 Although Weld County Buildings and Grounds and IT personnel were involved in the installation of the equipment,the County did not seek reimbursement for any of the personnel time. I am particularly pleased that this project came in$2,635.08 under budget. I want to extend my sincere gratitude to this Board for your generosity and assistance in funding this project. The improvements to the technology in Divisions 11 and 12 will immediately result in more professional,thorough and persuasive evidence presentations to juries and judges in major felony prosecutions.
