RE: DESIGNATION OF THE SITE SELECTION AND CONSTRUCTION OF THOSE MAJOR
FACILITIES OF A PUBLIC UTILITY CONSISTING OF PIPELINES AND STORAGE
AREAS OF UTILITIES PROVIDING WATER AS A MATTER OF STATE INTEREST
PURSUANT TO §24-65.1-401, C.R.S., AND WELD COUNTY CODE §21-1-210(B)
A public hearing was conducted on October 14, 2015, at 10:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer, Chair - EXCUSED
Commissioner Mike Freeman, Pro-Tem
Commissioner Sean P. Conway
Commissioner Julie A. Cozad
Commissioner Steve Moreno
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Stephanie Frederick
County Attorney, Bruce Barker
Planning Services Department representative, Tom Parko
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated December 9, 2014, and duly published
December 12, 2014, in the Greeley Tribune, a public hearing was conducted January 19, 2015,
concerning the Proposed Designation of the Site Selection and Construction of those Major
Facilities of a Public Utility Consisting of Pipelines and Storage Areas of Utilities Providing Water
as a Matter of State Interest pursuant to §24-65.1-401, C.R.S., and Weld County Code §21-1-
210(B), at which time the Board deemed it advisable to continue the matter to March 23, 2015,
and then again to May 27, 2015, and then again to July 6, 2015, and then again to August 12,
2015, and then again to October 14, 2015. On October 14, 2015, Bruce Barker, County Attorney,
made this a matter of record.
Bruce Barker, County Attorney, requested this matter be referred back to Staff for consideration
of newly drafted regulations and re-notification. No public testimony was offered concerning this
matter.
Commissioner Cozad moved to refer back to staff for consideration of newly drafted regulations
and re-notification of the Proposed Designation of the Site Selection and Construction of those
Major Facilities of a Public Utility Consisting of Pipelines and Storage Areas of Utilities Providing
Water as a Matter of State Interest pursuant to §24-65.1-401, C.R.S., and Weld County Code
§21-1-210 (B). The motion was seconded by Commissioner Conway, and it carried unanimously.
There being no further discussion, the hearing was completed at 9:31 a.m.
