RE: ACTION OF BOARD CONCERNING REQUEST TO WAIVE BID PROCEDURE
CONCERNING SMALL TRACT OIL AND GAS LEASE, ACCEPT OFFER TO LEASE
MINERAL ACRE -AZTEC EXPLORATION, LLC
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Small Tract Lease and a request that
the bidding procedure be waived according to the policy as set forth in the Weld County Code for
parcels less than five acres, on the following described mineral acres:
NE1/4 of Section 7, Township 5 North,
Range 65 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County,
Colorado, as further described in Exhibit A to said
lease, and
WHEREAS, a hearing before the Board was held on the 8th day of July, 2015, at which
time the Board deemed it advisable to refer said matter back to staff to allow for additional
property research.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the abovementioned matter be, and hereby is, referred back to staff for
additional property research.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 8th day of July, A.D., 2015.
