RE: APPROVE EMERGENCY BID #B1500081, WATER IRRIGATION RIGHTS FOR
LEASE AND WAIVER OF TEN-DAY WAITING PERIOD FOR CONSIDERATION AND
INVESTIGATION - DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Purchasing has requested waiver of the ten-day waiting
period for Emergency Bid Request #B1500081, Water Irrigation Rights for Lease, for the
Department of Public Works, due to farmers needing to irrigate without pause, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to waive the
ten-day waiting period for said emergency bid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the ten-day waiting period for Emergency Bid Request #B1500081,
Water Irrigation Rights for Lease, for the Department of Public Works, be, and hereby is,
waived.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the low bids from Petrocco Farms, Inc.,
in the amount of $71.00/share for 28 shares of the Fulton Ditch, and from Miller Farms, in the
amount of $1,200.00/share for 2 shares of Lupton Bottom West be, and hereby are, accepted
on an emergency basis.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 1st day of April, A.D., 2015.
