To the County Commissioners,
We are writing this letter to express our wishes when it comes to GoAirheads field located at
4471 County Road 7 in Erie Co. We understand that part of the proposal for their field to be approved
is for a net to be strung around the perimeter of the property in order to catch any bbs from falling onto
the surrounding properties. We would like to express our opinion that this mandate be lifted for any
netting to the North of the GoAirheads property where we reside.
We do not see any need for this netting since there is a wide enough space between us where the
bbs fall. We have already spoken with Mr. Trevathan about this and he has agreed that there is no real
need for netting on this side of the property and that it would be an unneeded burden to him and his
business to erect this netting. In our conversation we did mention a few stipulations having to do with
not building any farther North than the farthest north point already being used for his playing field.We
also mentioned being slightly more diligent in picking up any loose trash that sometimes blows around.
Mr. Trevathan agreed to all of these terms.
After this discussion with Mr.Trevathan and seeing the field operate for many years it is our
wish that GoAirheads stays open and is not made to put any netting to the North of their property.

Dear Mr. Gathman,
I am writing you to express my support for GoAirheads (located at 4471 County
Road 7, Erie, CO 80516)
and the respect I have for the family oriented business that Josh, Dave &
Diana Trevathan operate. My 15 year old son Miles and many of his boyscout friends
are enthusiastic customers of GoAirheads. For the kids a trip to GoAirheads is the
highlight of their week. I have been taking the kids to GoAirheads for the past two
years and I have never had a single problem. The management and the clientele are
top notch and very courteous, respectful, safety minded and responsible.
Participating at GoAirheads give the kids outdoor time, exercise, comraderie, and
helps them develope a sense of teamwork. It is a great activity and I am thankful that
GoAirheads is there for the kids. The impact of the GoAirhead business as an Airsoft
playground is far less than existing current uses on surrounding properties. For
example the oil and gas industrial infrastructure and installations along with
the nearby(smelly) cattle operations, which although allowed are substantially more
offensive, environmentally unfriendly and more dangerous than the current
GoAirhead usage. I was told that one neighbor is citing loud, offensive language as a
reason to close GoAirheads. I can assure you that if this was true, other boy scout
parents from Troop 613 and myself would not leave our kids there. I urge you not to
shut GoAirheads down as it furnishes good dean healthy fun for the kids with far less
impact than many other uses would. Please grant GoAirheads a Special Use Permit
or some other method for them to continue their family friendly business. Please
include my letter in the public record and copy the county commissioners.

Mr Gathman,
I am writing this email due to information I got about go airheads possibly closing because of
complaints of a neighbor.
I have a 12 year old son who is hooked on video games.He is not physically active and a bit on the
heavy side.Sports do not interest him.However a few months ago a friend of his told him about go
airheads.He bought an air soft gun with his own money and we took him. He loved it and wants to go
all the time.
I have been there to watch and it is well organized and safety is a top priority.They do not allow
profanity.They encourage team building and it is monitored by adults at all times.
In an age of technology it is harder and harder to keep our kids physically active.This venue gives my
child an outlet that he loves to be active and meet new people.
I am one of those over protective parents who is critical of guns and violence but I have to tell you I
was impressed by the go airheads team and facility.I know that he is in good hands there and is doing
some great physical activity.
I hope that the board takes these sorts of things into account.As a mother of a child who does not fit in
with the"normal"sports that kids have available this place is quite frankly a godsend for me.
