Marcia,
In review of the bid responses that were received for 2015 patrol vehicles, the bid from
Spradley Barr Ford meets the requirements of the Sheriff's Office and all bid
specifications. Although Spradley Barr was not the lowest bid, the vehicles that were
offered are approximately 2,000 to 3,000 dollars cheaper to outfit with police equipment in
comparison to the vehicles offered from John Elway Chrysler and Johnson Auto Plaza.
Additionally, the Ford vehicle that is recommended has a large trunk storage capacity and
allows for a spare tire to be carried in the vehicle where the Dodge platform does not.
