No-O-a-giamp activity remained the same compared with the prior month while the Aid to Dependent Children caseload increased slightly by a net 7 households. December, 1977 caseloads for all categories compared with the prior year showed a 1.6% increase (+96) in households but a 1.7% (-221) decline in the number of in- dividuals provided assistance. These figures indicate the trend to smaller household size is continuing for those qualifying for public assistance. The Aid to Dependent Children caseload, compared with the prior year, is 40 households high- e r while the number of households participating in the Food Stamp program decreased by 43. The Old Age Pension load continues its gradual decline. Nursing Home and "Medicaid Only" cases have increased for the Department by 147 over the prior year. Other loads did not. All in all, 1977 reflected a stable year in public assistance. Expenditures (excluding Old Age Pension) for December, 1977 were $537,665. This amount was $7,082 less than the previous month, but $50,086 higher than the same month in 1976. The Department remained within budget for 1977 , expending $6,004,719 (97.3%) of the $6,170,048 approved. EMic enna:rh Hello
