REMARKS: November caseloads reflected a slight decrease in Aid to Families with
Dependent Children households while Food Stamp caseloads increased compared with
the prior month. Although the AFDC Unemployed Father caseload of 35 remained the
same, single parent female-headed households declined by 19. Eighty-eight ad-
ditional families were issued Food Stamps bringing the November total participation
to 2,570 households; 135 households qualified for Food Stamps as a result of lost
income due to the Monfort strike. Other caseloads remained stable.
Expenditures for November (excluding Old Age Pension and Food Stamps) were $572,015.
This amount was $21,989 higher than the previous month and $22,723 higher than the
same month in 1978. Department expenditures remain within budget with 84.51 ex-
