RE: INSTALLATION OF FOUR 30 MPH TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES AND
FIVE "SCHOOL ZONE" SIGNS IN AREA OF BRIGGSDALE SCHOOL.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS. the Superintendent of School District RE-10J in
Briggsdale has requested that traffic warning signs be installed
in the area of the Briggsdale school , and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Engineer has recommended that
four 30 mph traffic control devices and five "school zone"
signs be installed in the area of the Briggsdale school as per
the attached sketch.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the Weld County Depart-
ment of Engineering is hereby directed to install the above-
mentioned traffic devices in the area of the Briggsdale school .
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 5th day of
November, A.D . , 1979 .

As a result of the attached letter from the Briggsdale School Superintendent,
we have made a proposed system of warning signs for the area around the
school .
It i ended that this proposal be authorized.

Reference is made to your letter of October 3 , 1979 , requesting
traffic control and speed limit signs around the Briggsdale
School .
In a meeting on November 5 , 1979 , the Board of Weld County
Commissioners approved the installation of four ( 4 ) "30 mph "
and five ( 5 ) "School Zone" signs as indicated on the enclosed
drawing .

Dear Sirs:
There are no traffic control or speed limit signs in Briggsdale.
I am especially interested in traffic warning signs around the school.
At this time there is only one which says "Slow-School" and it is in
a bad state of repair. Is there any possible way to correct this
situation? I will be happy to assist in any way possible.
