August caseloads continue to reflect the stable trend that has held forth for many months now. Foster Care and Day Care costs , although not reported here, remain higher than in the previous year. Expenditures for August (excluding Old Age Pension) were $538,386. This amount was $3,659 less than the preceding month but $54,401 higher than the same month in 1977. Department spending remains within budget with 64.1% expended after 8 months. This compares with a 66.6% "on-target" rate. EMcKenna:rh 9-8-78 7330669 ,6OAa th7, ilb Hello
