Dear Mr. Gathman:
We are vehemently opposed to the outdoor storage of out-of-service vehicles, starage
units, and man camp structures associated with an oil field service company in an
Agricultural Zoned District.
We have already suffered negative effects caused by the employees of Kimzey Casing
Service. The employees have thrown beer cans, packing materials, cigarette butts &
cigarette packaging along with food packaging onto our property, right over the fence.
When they are working, I have to pick up their trash from our pasture because of their
lack of respect for our property. In addition, Larry noticed human feccs on the Kimzey
property by their shed. This is most unsanitary and disturbing and needs never happen
again.
We purchased our farm 21 years ago desiring to live in an agricultural area, not an
industrial area. We are not opposed to the oil industry but certainly see a degradation of
the scenery because of it. In my opinion, if somcone wants to store this type of
equipment outdoors, they should do so in an industrial zoned area.
If Weld County Planning decides to approve this special use permit, in my opinion, they
should only do so if Kimzey Casing erects a storage building to keep all stored items
inside. Kimzey should also remove all weeds from their property, which they do not
currently do. We desire to live in a pleasant agricultural arca as it was when we first
purchased our property.
