RE: ANNUAL MEETING AND 2016 BUDGET HEARING - BEEBE DRAW LAW
ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITY
A public hearing was conducted on December 14, 2015, at 1:43 p.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer, Chair
Commissioner Mike Freeman, Pro-Tem - EXCUSED
Commissioner Sean P. Conway
Commissioner Julie A. Cozad
Commissioner Steve Moreno - via Telephone
Also present:
Clerk to the Board, Esther E. Gesick
County Attorney, Bruce Barker
Director of Finance and Administration, Donald D. Warden
The following business was transacted:
• I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated November 6, 2015, and duly published
November 11, 2015, in the Greeley Tribune, the Annual Meeting of the Beebe Draw Law
Enforcement Authority Board was conducted, and a public hearing was conducted to consider
the proposed 2016 Budget for the Weld County Beebe Draw Law Enforcement Authority (LEA)
District. Donald Warden, Director of Finance and Administration, reviewed the structure of the
LEA District and recommended approval of the budget, in the amount of $14,546.00, assessed
at 7.0 mills. The amount is used for extraordinary patrol services by the Sheriffs Office.
• No public testimony was offered concerning this matter.
• Commissioner Conway moved to approve the Resolution to Adopt the Budget, in the amount
of$14,546.00. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Cozad, and it carried unanimously.
• Commissioner Cozad moved to approve the Resolution to Appropriate Sums of Money.
Commissioner Moreno seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
• Commissioner Moreno moved to approve the Resolution to Set the Mill Levy, at 7.0 mills.
The motion was seconded by Commissioner Conway, and it carried unanimously.
El Commissioner Conway moved to approve the Law Enforcement Agreement and authorize
the Chair to sign. Commissioner Cozad seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
There being no further discussion, the hearing was completed at 1:46 a.m.
