RE: APPROVAL OF EXTENSION OF MOTOROLA CONTRACT ON COMMUNICATIONS
EQUIPMENT TO JANUARY 1 , 1980 .
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Motorola was awarded the contract for communica-
tions equipment for the County of Weld on September 17 , 1975 ,
said contract being extended on several occassions, and
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the Board
of County Commissioners that the original contract may again be
extended to January 1 , 1980 , and
WHEREAS, the Board, being desirous of the savings involved
with the present system, deems it in the best interest of Weld
County to extend the contract with Motorola to January 1 , 1980 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the extension to
January 1, 1980 of the communications equipment contract with
Motorola be ,and hereby is, approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 11th day of
July, A.D. , 1979 .

Motorola Inc. is pleased to offer the following proposal to Weld County in
regards to purchasing of communication equipment.
Considering the quantity of equipment of Weld County has purchased from
Motorola, Inc. in the past, we are pleased to offer Weld County the same
amount of savings on equipment purchased in 1979 as if it had been purchased
from original bid.
An extension of bid 062-75 to January, 1980 is presented to you as of this date.
Please accept this letter as an attachment, including any additional catalog
equipment.
Weld County has been such a good customer in the past, we feel this offering
is very appropriate and will save your county many dollars and a vast amount
of time and effort in bidding, to obtain communication equipment.
