RE: DESIGNATION OF THE SITE SELECTION AND CONSTRUCTION OF THOSE MAJOR
FACILITIES OF A PUBLIC UTILITY CONSISTING OF PIPELINES AND STORAGE
AREAS OF UTILITIES PROVIDING WATER AND NATURAL GAS OR OTHER
PETROLEUM DERIVATIVES AS A MATTER OF STATE INTEREST PURSUANT TO
§24-65.1-401, C.R.S., AND WELD COUNTY CODE §21-1-210(B)
A public hearing was conducted on March 23, 2015, at 10:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer, Chair
Commissioner Mike Freeman, Pro-Tem
Commissioner Sean P. Conway
Commissioner Julie A. Cozad
Commissioner Steve Moreno
Also present:
Clerk to the Board, Esther Gesick
Assistant County Attorney, Brad Yatabe
Planning Services Department representative, Tom Parko
The following business was transacted:
ta I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated December 9, 2014, and duly published
December 12, 2014, in the Greeley Tribune, a public hearing was conducted January 19, 2015,
concerning the Proposed Designation of the Site Selection and Construction of those Major
Facilities of a Public Utility Consisting of Pipelines and Storage Areas of Utilities Providing
Water and Natural Gas or Other Petroleum Derivatives as a Matter of State Interest pursuant to
§24-65.1-401, C.R.S., and Weld County Code §21-1-210(B), at which time they deemed it
advisable to continue the matter to March 23, 2015, to allow for the corresponding Ordinance
#2015-1 to first be considered by the Planning Commission at a hearing which was continued to
March 3, 2015. On March 23, 2015, Robert Frick, County Attorney, made this a matter of
record.
No public testimony was offered concerning this matter.
Cl Commissioner Conway moved to continue the request to May 27, 2015, for a Proposed
Designation of the Site Selection and Construction of those Major Facilities of a Public Utility
Consisting of Pipelines and Storage Areas of Utilities Providing Water and Natural Gas or Other
Petroleum Derivatives as a Matter of State Interest pursuant to §24-65.1-401, C.R.S., and Weld
County Code §21-1-210(B) to coincide with consideration of the Final Reading of Code
Ordinance #2015-1 which was similarly continued to allow additional time to host a stakeholders
meeting. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Cozad, and it carried unanimously.
There being no further discussion, the hearing was completed at 9:45 a.m.
