From: Henry W. Poos 33980 Cliff Road Windsor Co, 80550 I am writing to overturn the Weld County Assessors denial to reduce the 2015 real property evaluation for my home, parcel number 80713202001,account number R1404986. Having 1532 square feet of living space,this assesses my home at$166.46/square foot. My home was constructed in 1971,and has not had any interior upgrades The Antelope Hills addition was began in 1971. This is located on the south side of Weld County Road(WCR) 70between WCR 23 and 25, two miles south of Severance Colorado. Each of the 28 properties are or are about one acre of land. This and the Roth addition,north of Windsor near WCR 13 and 74 were created to provide homes from people who moved here to work at the Kodak plant. The Assessors state that the value is based on homes of comparable value. There were only two homes with this floor plan. They are heated with hot water baseboard heating, called hydroponic heat. There is no sheet metal duct work. It has no full basement and there are no floor drains. The sewer system is a septic tank with leach field. The garage is only 17'x 23' (397 square feet) it will not hold two full sized automobiles. The assessor does not state where these homes are located so I can observe and compare them. I believe that a value of&140/square foot is a more reasonable assessment which would bring my homes assessment to $214,800. I appeal the assessment of$255,021, and ask you to use $214,800 as a more accurate assessment.
