beginning with this report, the Department will show both number of cases and the number
of people within each case or household. The number of Social Service cases will also be
shown.
The Aid to Dependent Children and Food Stamp caseloads have shown expected increases due
primarily to the absence of seasonal jobs during the winter months . Other cases have
. remained relatively stable.
Public Assistance expenditures 'for December, 1976 totalled $487,579. This amount was
$7,369 more than the previous manta but $9,083 under the amount spent one year ago.
