WELD COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Greeley, Colorado
The Weld County Housing Authority held a regularly scheduled meeting
on November 1 , 1978 , at 7 : 30 PM in the Weld County Centennial Center,
County Commissioners ' Board Room ( 316) , Third Floor , 915 10th Street ,
Greeley , Colorado
Roll Call was as follows :
John Dent Present
Ed Dunbar Present
Judy Kron Present
Al Thompson Present
Pete Wilson Absent
Also present were : Allen Jost , Secretary
Gary Fortner, Director , Weld County Department of
Planning Services
Carole Dodge , Recording Secretary
Lee Rhoad, Community Development Division , HUD
Betty Tunnell , Housing Division , HUD
As a quorum was present , the meeting proceeded as scheduled . A motion
was made by John Dent to waive the reading of the minutes from the
previous meeting, seconded by Judy Kron . Motion carried by unanimous
vote.
There was a discussion on the checking account and whose names should
be put on the signature cards. John Dent stated that according to the
By-Laws , the Chairman and Secretary are the ones who should be on the
signature cards. It was decided to have these names on the cards.
There was a discussion as to how the account should be handled, i. e . ,
checking account , savings account , CDs . Gary Fortner briefly explained
the policies of other Boards in the County . Judy Kron suggested that
it might be handled through the County Finance System. Gary Fortner
will discuss this with Don Warden , the County Finance Officer. It was
decided not to transfer the funds until after Gary has talked to Don .
There was a discussion about reimbursing the Board Members for mileage.
II was decided that mileage should be paid if the members wanted it. .
Allen Jost stated that the seal had not been found, and that a new one
would be made up.
There was a discussion on the amended By-Laws . John Dent made a motion
to accept the By-Laws as amended. Seconded by Al Thompson . Motion
carried by unanimous vote .
There was a discussion concerning the appointment of Board Members.
All Jost will talk to the County Commissioners regarding the reap-
pointment of Board Members in January , 1979 .

Allen Jost stated that Mr. George Thompson , Coughlin and Company , was
interested in speaking to the Board concerning housing Revenue Bonds .
It was decided that , at this point , the Board would hold off on talking
to him until after they had a chance to speak with Mr. John Muldanado
of Colorado Housing , Inc . Allen Jost will get in touch with Mr .
Muldanado and try to get him to speak at the next regular meeting on
November 15, 1978 .
Guest speakers for the evening were Lee Rhoad, Community Development
Division , HUD and Betty Tunnell , Housing Division , HUD. They both
spoke on the various grants available through HUD, and the eligibility
requirements Tor these grants .
John Dent made a motion to adjourn the meeting at approximately 10 : 15 ,
seconded by Judy Kron . Motion carried .
