RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT AND
AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - MUNICIPAL CODE CORPORATION (MUNICODE)
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Amendment to the Professional
Services Contract between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of
County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, and
Municipal Code Corporation, commencing February 17, 2016, with further terms and conditions
being as stated in said amendment, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said amendment, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Amendment to Professional Services Contract between the County of
Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on
behalf of the Department of Human Services, and Municipal Code Corporation be, and hereby is,
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said amendment.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 17th day of February, A.D., 2016.

RE: Weld County Department of Human Services
Requests to Amend Professional Services Contract between
Weld County and Municipal Code Corporation
Please review and indicate if you would like a work session prior to placing this item on the
Board's agenda.
Request Board Approval to Amend Professional Services Contract between Weld County
and Municipal Code Corporation. The Department is requesting approval to amend the
current professional services contract with Municipal Code Corporation (Attached—Tyler
#2015-0909)to include the Department of Human Services (Attached —Amended Agreement).
Municipal Code Corporation was the recommended and approved vendor for Code Codification
Services for Weld County for the purpose of providing Codification and Supplementation
services to the Weld County Code. They have agreed to provide services needed to maintain
the Department's Operations Manual electronically via a link to the Department's Intranet page
using the same pricing structure provided to Weld County.
The use of services provided by Municipal Code Corporation has been reviewed with County
IT,along with other options for managing the Operations Manual electronically, including
SharePoint. Due to the lengthy time line required for SharePoint to be implemented, and the
high level of functionality and comprehensive services provided by Municipal Code
Corporation, they have recommended using the service to maintain the Department Operations
Manual. IT is prepared to assist in setting up the web link needed to view the manual on the
Department's Intranet page. Esther Gesick, Clerk to the Board, has reviewed the services that
Municipal Code Corporation would provide and is in support of the services and process. Bob
Choate and Karin McDougal from the Legal office have also reviewed the addendum.
I do not recommend a Work Session. I recommend approval to amend the Professional Services
Contract.

ADDENDUM TO EXISTING CONTRACT FOR
WELD COUNTY, COLORADO
BCOO 15 2015-0909
This Agreement entered into on the )7-day , 2016, by and between the Board of Weld County
Commissioners, on behalf of the Weld Count Depart of Human Services, hereinafter referred to as the
"Department", and Municipal Code Corporation hereinafter re erred to as the"Contractor".
WHEREAS the parties entered into an agreement(the "Original Agreement") identified by the Weld County Clerk to
the Board of County Commissioners as document No. 2015-0909, approved on 5/13/2015.
WHEREAS the parties hereby agree to allow the inclusion of additional publications to the Codification Services
Agreement for the Department in accordance with the terms of the Original Agreement, which is incorporated by
reference herein, as well as the terms provided herein. This Agreement, together with the Original Agreement,
constitutes the entire understanding between the parties. The following change is hereby made to the contract
documents.
• Inclusion of Human Services Department Documents
Inclusion of legislation/documents, per page $18
Contractor will add legislation as designated by the Department into the Municode database,
format the material to match the style of the County Code, post the material online and update the
material on a schedule set by the Department. The Department has elected to not have the
material indexed at this time nor do they require any printed materials.
Online code hosting, first year no charge then per elections made as outlined on page 41 of the
"Original Agreement".
• All other terms and conditions of the Original Agreement remain unchanged.
• IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have duly executed the Agreement as of the day, month, and
year first above written.
