INFANT MORTALITY AWARENESS DAY
OCTOBER 18, 2016
WHEREAS, the National Infant Mortality Awareness Month campaign is designed to
increase the public's awareness of the high rates of infant deaths, and is led locally by
the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment and the Department of
Human Services, along with community partners, the Norther Colorado Health Alliance,
and the United Way of Weld County, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Local Infant Life Initiative is dedicated to reducing the
incidences of infant mortality which are prevalent in Weld County, and
WHEREAS, Weld County service providers are working in collaboration to have a dramatic
impact on the rate of infant mortality in our community, providing critical services and
education to families with infants throughout the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it hereby resoly 0 that the Board of Weld County Commissioners
does hereby proclaim October 18, 2016, as Weld County Infant Mortality Awareness Day.
