RE: CANCELLATION OF TAX LIEN SALE CERTIFICATE (TS CERT 2001-0043) FOR
PARCEL #1059-11-2-12-005, ALL BUT ONE DOLLAR
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has received one (1) Tax Lien Sale Certificate (TS CERT
2001-0043) for parcel #1059-11-2-12-005, from the Weld County Treasurer, and
WHEREAS, the facts as set forth on the Certificate of Cancellation, marked Exhibit A, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, recommend the transfer
of said TS CERT 2001-0043 from the Asian Management Trust(dissolved)to the Town of Milliken
which has agreed to take on the responsibilities of maintenance and liability if the associated
charges are written off, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to cancel all but one dollar of the
Tax Lien Certificate, in order that it may be transferred to the Town of Milliken.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Tax Lien Sale Certificate (TS CERT 2001-0043), on parcel #1059-11-2-
12-005, be, and hereby is, cancelled with the exception of One Dollar, which shall remain so that
the Tax Lien may remain active, and be transferred to Milliken by separate resolution.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 20th day of January, A.D., 2016.

MEMO TO: THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF WELD COUNTY
Requesting approval to transfer Tax Lien Sale Certificate to the Town of Milliken at no charge.
Reason for this request is as follows: THIS REAL PROPERTY TAX LIEN CERTIFICATE
HAS BEEN STRICKEN OFF TO WELD COUNTY BY VIRTURE OF A TAX SALE AND
THERE HAS BEEN NO TRANSFER BY THE COUNTY. THE TAXES ON SUCH
PROPERTY MAY BE DETERMINED TO BE UNCOLLECTIBLE AFTER A PERIOD OF
SIX YEARS FROM THE DATE OF BECOMING DELINQUENT AND THEY MAY BE
CANCELLED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS.
THE TOWN OF MILLIKEN IS WILLING TO TAKE ON THE RESPONSIBILTIES OF THE
MAINTANENCE AND LIABILITY OF THIS PROPERTY IF THE CHARGES
ASSOCIATED WITH THIS TAX LIEN CERTIFICATE CAN BE WRITTEN OFF.
THE OWNERSHIP OF THIS PROPERTY IS LISTED AS ASLAN MANAGEMENT TRUST.
KAREEN G. MILLARD THE TRUSTEE OF THIS TRUST INFORMED OUR OFFICE THE
TRUST HAS BEEN DESOLVED AND NO LONGER EXISTES. THEREFORE SHE WOULD
BE UNABLE TO REDEEM OR TRANSFER THE OWNERSHIP.
As the Treasurer of Weld County, I am asking for the Board of County Commissioners to
approve and accept this proposal by resolution.
