RESOLUTION
RE: AWARDING CONTRACT FOR ADVERTISING FOR A ONE YEAR PERIOD
COMMENCING APRIL 1, 1977 AND ENDING MARCH 31, 1978.
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld Count Home
Rule Charter, are vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director of Weld County has ,heretofore,
pursuant to law and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, advertised
for bids for County advertising and legal notices for a one year
period commencing April 1, 1977 and ending March 31 , 1978 , and
WHEREAS, the Greeley Journal of 1017 8th Avenue , Greeley,
Colorado, 80631, has submitted the lowest bid to Weld County
which bid is as follows :

ALL ADVERTISING TO BE SET IN NONPAREIL TYPE UNLESS OTHERWISE ORDERED.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Greeley Journal ,
published in Greeley, Colorado, be, and hereby is designated as
the official newspaper for the publication of the proceedings of
the Board of County Commissioners and County Welfare Board, and
for the publication of legal notices required by law to be
published by the various Weld County officials for a one year
period commencing April 1, 1977 and ending March 31 , 1978 , all
pp as per the hereinabove schedule.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a satisfactory bond, subject
to the approval of the Board of County Commissioners , may be
required of the Greeley Journal in connection with the award
of this contract for advertising, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commis-
sioners may consider the use of other news media as additional
methods of informing the citizens of certain official acts ,
events, determinations , proceedings and meetings , pursuant to
Section 16-6 of the Weld County Home Rule Charter, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this contract shall become
effective on April 1, 1977 and that the Board reserves the right
to terminate this contract at any time.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 9th day of
March, A.D. , 1977.
The above and foregoing Resolution was read into the record
and signed on the 16th day of March, A.D. , 1977 .
