RE: Consent to Assign Oil & Gas Lease

To Whom It May Concern:
Aztec Exploration, LLC (Aztec) will execute an Assignment of Oil & Gas Leases whereby they have
agreed to sell and assign one hundred percent (100%) of its right, title, and interest in and to the Oil &
Gas Lease recorded at Reception No. 4194054 to Extraction Oil & Gas, LLC, whose address is 370 17th
St., Suite 5300, Denver, CO 80202. Aztec will reserve a 1.50% Overriding Royalty.
Pursuant to the Oil and Gas Lease, your consent is required in order to permit Aztec to convey its
interest. Aztec respectfully requests your consent to sell and assign its interest in the Oil and Gas Lease
covering the following lands:
Township 5 North, Range 65 West, 6th P.M.
Section 5: NESE, Lot 4, Block 1, Burger and Fry.
Please evidence your consent by executing in the space provided below. Please return the original fully
executed letter to my attention in the enclosed pre -paid envelope. Should you have any questions, please
