RE : CONTINUANCE OF THE CONTRACT FOR ADVERTISING
FOR THE YEARS 1975 and 1976
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners
of Weld County, Colorado, designated the Greeley Journal,
published in Greeley, Colorado, as the official newspaper
for publication of all legal notices required by law to
be published by the various Weld County Officials with
such reservations as contained in the resolution dated
February 19, 1975, and
WHEREAS, an opinion was requested January 14,
1976 for the Attorney General, State of Colorado,
pertaining to legal interpretation of Section 16-6 of
the Weld County Home Rule Charter as it affects advertising
in Weld County, and
WHEREAS , during the Board meeting of January 26 ,
1976 , a motion was unanimously adopted to authorize the
Greeley Journal to continue on a monthly basis and that the
Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to terminate
this contract at any time.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of
County Commissioners , Weld County, Colorado, that it hereby
authorizes the continuance of the publications as designated
in the resolution dated, January 14 , 1975 by the Greeley
Journal and to continue until further order of the board.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion
duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the
28th day of January, A. D. , 1976 .

Weld County, Colorado
A meeting of the special committee appointed by
Chairman Billings was held on Thursday. February 26, 1976
to determine the low bidder on the county advertising.
After examination of the prices offered and a com-
parison of the circulation coverage a motion was made
by Joe Tenneson and seconded by F. E. Kummer that it was
the determination of the committee that the bid of the
Greeley Booster was the lowest bid offered. The motion
carried unanimously.

March 4th, had to be postponed because of the
inability of some members to be present.

NOTICE OF BID
Weld County, Colorado will receive sealed bids for advertising
as required by law for the various county offices, such as legal
notices, proceedings of the board , semi-annual financial
statements, delinquent tax lists , etc. , during the year from February
1 , 1976 to December 31 , 1976. Bids will be accepted until Tuesday,
December 30, 1975, at 10:00 a.m. at which time said bids will be
publicly opened at the office of the Director of Management and
Budget, 1516 Hospital Road, Greeley, Colorado 80631
Further information may be obtained from the Director of Management
and Budget, P. 0. Box 758, Greeley, Colorado or at the new Health
Building , 1516 Hospital Road, Greeley, Colorado 80631
The Board of Weld County Commissioners reserves the right to reject
any or all bids , to waive any informalities in bids, and to accept
the bid that, in the opinion of the Board, is to the best interest
of the Board and of the County of Weld, State of Colorado.
