Dear Mr. Billings:
The City of Greeley is aware of the requirements of House
Bill 1041 . We have received information from State agencies
as well as the County regarding the Bill .
The City does wish to participate in the designation of
State interests and is presently involved in the review process
of such designation. We have also been advised by the previous
Board of County Commissioners of the assistance to municipalities
by the County. We have requested such assistance and have
received it through the 1041 Administrator .
Since the areas to be designated do not stop at municipal
boundaries, we have been working very closely with the County
Planning staff in order to obtain coordination . This assistance
has been greatly appreciated and will probably be necessary in
formulating the guidelines for controlling the areas of said
interest .
Thank you for your offer of assistance. It is hoped that in the
future the City of Greeley and Weld County can continue to assist
each other in formulating our planned community.
