RE: AUTHORIZATION FOR PURCHASING AGENT TO OBTAIN QUOTES AND
WAIVE BIDDING PROCEDURES CONCERNING G-POD WALL INSTALLA-
TION AT THE WELD COUNTY JAIL.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, there is currently a problem of overcrowding at
the Weld County Jail , and
WHEREAS, it is proposed that G-Pod at the Weld County Jail
be divided and a wall be installed to assist in solving the
overcrowding problem, and
WHEREAS, the cost for installation must remain below $5,000 .00
in order to maintain a 10% match by the County under the LEAA
grant, and
WHEREAS, it is recommended that the Purchasing Agent obtain
quotes for said wall installation, that the cost of said instal-
lation be limited to $5,000 .00, and that the bidding procedure
be waived concerning this particular project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the Purchasing Agent be
authorized to obtain quotes for the wall installation in G-Pod
at the Weld County Jail and further that the bidding procedure
for the same be waived.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the cost for said
wall installation be limited to $5,000 .00 .
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vdte on the 10th day of.
