Discussion followed regarding the exact meaning of "junkyards" and the procedure for recommending that legal action be forwarded to the County Commissioners. Assistant Zoning Adminis ator from the desk of LARRY L. LAUNE Loveland, Colorado 3 September 1978. 'Ield County Planning Commission 915 10th Street Greeley, Colorado 80631 Gentlemen: Upon receiving your notification regarding a special permit for hog operations, some time has been spent researching this request. After inspecting several operations of this type in Northern Colorado, and discussing it with others, I find no objection to this permit. The only problem could be the acerage involved. As I recall, the acerage at this location(Pt. NI4 Section 30, T5N, 1t67'i, 25586 Weld County Road 13, 2A miles northwest of Johnstown, Colorado) is very close to five acres. This hardly seems adaquate for this operation, but with proper planning it could be made suitable. It should be clearly stated to Mr. Johnson that the control of odor and seenage be strictly adhered to, and if either one becomes a nuisance, a complaint could be filed. Therefore, I, Larry L. Laune, find no objection to this special permit. If there are further questions in regard to this matter, please notify me at your convenience. Sincerely yours, rry L. Laune p.I .
