In review of the bid responses that were received for the use of force simulators, the bid from
Ti Training, meets the requirements of the Sheriff's Office and all bid specifications. Ti Training
was the lowest bid at $79,950.

Re: Purchase of the Interactive Firearms and Use of Force Simulator
Currently our simulator bid is scheduled to be recommended and approved by the BOCC on
October 24. The low bid (Ti Training) is not a company we are familiar with, so we want to see
demos of the system and ask questions before we move forward. There are some things we
requested that they don't have the capability to provide, and concerns we have with the newness
of the technology for that company. Our training unit wants to see if they can work around those
issues, since it is so much cheaper than the other system. That won't happen until November 4th
at the earliest, based on communications with Ti Training.
Can we please request to continue our bid review until November 9th so we can adequately
review and test the lowest bid?
