Bid Recommendation
On May 31, 2016, bids were opened for the purchase of a California Kneading Compactor.
Four bids were received and the prices ranged from $49,294.78 to $51,682.91. The low bid was submitted by Forney, LP
based out of Zelienople, PA. The delivery date of 8.15.2016 from Forney will meet our schedule and will not delay any
projects or pavement designs.
The total amount of this purchase is $49,297.78, which is under the budget amount of $50,000 for 2016.
It is my recommendation to award this contract to the lowest bidder, Forney, LP for a total amount of $49,294.78
