RE: APPROVE RESCINDING DOCUMENT #2016-0822, DATED MARCH 2, 2016,
CONCERNING SMALL TRACT OIL AND GAS LEASE- MINERAL RESOURCES, INC.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on March 2, 2016, by Resolution#2016-0822,the Board approved Small Tract
Oil and Gas Lease with Mineral Resources, Inc., and
WHEREAS, it was later determined that this was a duplicate lease for.2331 mineral acres
already included and held by Mineral Resources, Inc., pursuant to a lease approved on
July 13, 2015, located in Section 20, Township 5 North, Range 65 West of the 6th P.M., Weld
County, Colorado, and recorded at Reception No. 4185738, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to rescind Document#2016-0822
and refund the bonus amount.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Small Tract Oil and Gas Lease with Mineral Resources, Inc., and be
hereby is, rescinded, Commissioner Freeman's signature is nullified, and staff is directed to issue a
refund of the bonus payment, in the amount of$279.72.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 6th day of April, A.D., 2016.

Dear Karla Ford:
We have found that the Oil and Gas Lease for the parcel of land in Township 5 North, Range 65
West, 6th p.m., Section 20 containing .2331 acres was already leased June 18, 2015, reception
#4124467, recorded on 7/14/2015. The signing bonus was paid on June 18, 2015, check#
10405. We have included a copy of the check, along with the lease, for your review.
Please note, we will be releasing the Oil and Gas Lease for this same parcel dated February 22,
2016, reception#4185738, recorded on 3/4/2016. If you have any questions please call our
office.
