HomeMy WebLinkAbout20163534.tiffCounty Attorney Date of signature: I'&/(4/((j RESOLUTION RE: APPROVE RELEASE OF WEED CONTROL ENFORCEMENT LIEN - DARYLL AND CAROL PROPP WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, by Resolution #2007-2740, dated August 27, 2007, the Board of County Commissioners, of Weld County approved the Certification of a Weed Enforcement Lien against Daryll and Carol Propp, in the amount of $2,630.50, which was recorded with the Weld County Clerk and Recorder on September 14, 2007, at Reception No. 3504088, constituting a lien against said property described as Parcel Nos. 1467091000004 and 146709000009, located in Section 9, Township 1 North, Range 68 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the owner(s) of said properties have paid the entire amount of said lien, and WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to release the above mentioned lien. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the above referenced Weed Control Enforcement Lien against Daryll and Carol Propp be, and hereby is, declared to be satisfied in full and hereby released from said property. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 16th day of November, A.D., 2016. Please add this item to the agenda for Wednesday, November 16, 2016. 2016-3534 MEMORANDUM TO: Board of County Commissioners DATE: July 24, 2015 FROM: Tina Booton Weed Division Supervisor Jay McDonald Public Works Director SUBJECT: Agenda Item Release Lien on landowner's weed control enforcement bills The landowner listed below have paid their taxes in 2007 which included the weed control enforcement bills that were placed as a lien on their properties. The lien on the following property must be officially released by the Board of County Commissioners. The amount paid on July 9, 2007 was $2,192.08 for the property owner Daryl Propp, 1260 West Colfax Avenue, Suite B130, Lakewood, CO 80215; Parcel #146709100004 & 146709000009; Section 9, Township 1 North, Range 68 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado. Reception number: 65425 The original lien included the 20% administration fee of $438.42; making the original bill total $2630.50. However, after negotiations with Mr. Propp it was agreed that the administration fee could be removed, if the rest of the bill was paid in full. Mr. Propp agreed to this compromise and paid $2192.08 which is the negotiated amount to the County. a.to/-.s4 Hello
