Thank you for your letter dated August 23, 2016, regarding your proposed edits to the 2016-17
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between CDHS and Weld County. We appreciate the time you took
to thoughtfully offer your recommendations and agree with your assessment that this document needs to
be updated. We look forward to you and Weld County participating in that work group.
In the meantime, CDHS and Weld County will continue to operate under the current MOU, pursuant to
§ 26-1-118, C.R.S. (2016). That MOU sets out the terms of the agency between Weld County and CDHS,
established in § 26-1-118, as it relates to the Colorado Works program and Colorado Child Care Assistance
Program. This also ensures Weld County remains in Compliance with S 26-2-715(1)(a), C.R.S., and federal
requirements.
Finally, due to your efforts we will be convening a group to review and revise this document with the
intent of having an agreed upon document for all counties at the beginning of the 2017-2018 fiscal year.
We look forward to you and Weld County participating in that work group.
