RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, heretofore and by Resolution dated June 12,
1974, the Board of County Commissioners , Weld County, Colorado,
entered into an agreement with the City of Greeley, Colorado,
for a county-wide communications system, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Weld County Communications
Study prepared for and at the direction of the Colorado Depart-
ment of Administration, Division of Communications, it was re-
commended that an Advisory Board, composed of representatives
of the agencies served by the County Communications Center, be
created, and the function of this Board shall be to make a con-
tinual evaluation of the Communications Center operation and
recommend changes, expansion, etc. , and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has deter-
mined it to be in the best interests of the County to create
such an Advisory Board, and
WHEREAS, the Communications Advisory Board shall be
composed of nine (9) members, who shall be selected as follows:
1. The Director of Communications Services, who shall
serve as Chairman of the Board, pursuant to aforementioned study.
2. Representatives of the various agencies served by
the County Communications Center.
Initial appointments shall be as follows:
1. Elmer H. Reynolds, Director of Communications
Services
2. John Miller, Fort Lupton Police Department, Gil
Olson, Weld County Engineer' s Office, and Robert Staggs, Weld
County District Attorney' s Office, shall serve a term of one (1)
year during the calendar year of 1976 and until his successor
is appointed.
3 . Albert Harvey, LaSalle Police Department, Tracy
Ehn, Eaton Police Department, and Jack West, Evans Police Depart-
ment, shall serve a term of two (2) years during the calendar
years of 1976 and 1977 and until his successor is appointed.
4. Jim Edwards, Western Hills Fire Department, and
Don Bower, Weld County Sheriff, shall serve a term of three (3)
years during the calendar years of 1976, 1977 and 1978 and until
his successor is appointed.
The appointments of members, after the first appointments afore-
said, shall be for a term of three (3) years .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County
Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, that the Communications
Advisory Board be, and it hereby is created; and that the members
and functions thereof shall be as hereinabove specified.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion
duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote this 9th
day of February, 1976.
