HomeMy WebLinkAbout770765.tiff November 23, 1977 I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated October 17 , 1977 , duly published October 19 , 1977 and November 9 , 1977 in the Greeley Journal, a public hearing was held for the adoption of the Weld County Budget for 1978 and to hear comments on the planned use of revenue sharing funds. Chairman Steinmark reviewed all of the budget funds, explaining the changes which had been made and the programs which have been chosen to receive revenue sharing funds. Testimony was received from the public in attendance and Weld County Clerk and Recorder, Mary Ann Feuerstein. Discussion was held on the question of Weld County continuing its membership in Colorado Counties, Inc . A motion was made by Commissioner Carlson to transfer $8 , 047 from the General Fund into the Commissioners ' budget #801 , with which to pay the $15 , 000 CCI dues, thereby remaining in the association. Commissioner Jacobucci seconded the motion for which the vote was called. Commissioners Carlson and Jacobucci voted aye. Commissioners Dunbar, Roe and Chairman Steinmark voted nay. The motion was defeated. After all comment and testimony was received on the budget and the planned use of revenue sharing funds, Commissioner Jacobucci made a motion to approve the 1978 Budget at $51 , 676 , 955 and 18 . 26 mills . Commissioner Roe seconded the motion and it carried. Commissioners Carlson, Jacobucci, Roe, and Chairman Steinmark voted aye. , Commissioner Dunbar voted nay. Commissioner Dunbar qualified his vote, saying that he had earlier voted against the third pay plan and was unable to support some of the individual budgets within the total 1978 budget.
