Weld County Commissioner
915 - 10th

Dear Mr. Jacobucci:
I have recently had the opportunity of assisting Mrs. Luella
Kinnison and the staff of the Weld County Library in a series of three
public service programs on preparation for retirement. The response
to the program was extremely good. Reservations for participants were
necessary because of lack of space and all reservations were taken
within the first few days following an announcement of the offering.
Throughout the program I was greatly impressed by the dedication
of Mrs. Kinnison and the staff of the Weld County Library. The time,
effort and enthusiasm they devoted to the program was, I am sure, far
beyond their normal work requirements. They presented the resources of
the Weld County Library in a very effective way and as a vital tool in
helping people.
Programs on topics of concern to the citizens of Weld County can be
ideally complemented and made more meaningful by the materials to be
found in the library. The possibilities are exciting and I would
especially like to see these types of programs encouraged as a real
service to the citizens of Weld County. Under present conditions,
the space available is a real handicap. Despite the limit on reserva-
tions, those attending the pre-retirement programs were severely crowded.
Space for such programs should lend itself to informal group interaction
as well as to lecture-type activity. Perhaps this is something that
could be considered in any future plans.
In any event, thank you for providing Weld County with a fine
library and a staff which serves us all well!
Sincerely yours,
e1 ‘
