HomeMy WebLinkAbout790916 RESOLUTION RE: ENERGY CONSERVATION. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado Statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds has brought to the attention of the Weld County Board of Commissioners the fact that the U.S. Department of Energy and State Office of Energy have issued a number of bulletins and suggestions to assist local governments in identifying and implementing energy conservation measures, and WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners concur that it is in the interest of the public and the economics of Weld County to comply whenever possible with the suggested energy conservation measures recommended by the Depart- ment of Energy or State Office of Energy, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds is hereby directed to implement all energy conservation measures recom- mended by the Department of Energy or State Office of Energy in buildings owned and leased by Weld County, whenever it is operationally feasible, economically feasible, and not in conflict with any local , state, or federal law or regulation. The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 23rd day of July, A.D. , 1979.
