RE: APPROVAL OF TERMINATION OF CONTRACT WITH THE GREELEY
JOURNAL AND ACCEPTANCE OF THE LOW BID OF FORT LUPTON
PRESS FOR INTERIUM LEGAL NEWSPAPER.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the legal newspaper
the County of Weld is presently using will no longer be able
to service Weld County, and
WHEREAS, it has further been established that the contract
by and between the County of Weld and the Greeley Journal will
have to be terminated effective February 22, 1978, and
WHEREAS, in order to properly serve Weld County pursuant
to Colorado statute, the Board of County Commissioners has
agreed to accept the low bid from the Fort Lupton Press to
serve the needs of Weld County as an interium legal newspaper.
The Fort Lupton Press publishes its newspaper on Thursday and
will have a runner pick up any legal notices at noon on Mondays .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the low bid from
the Fort Lupton Press be, and hereby is, accepted, and that
the Board of County Commissioners enter into a contract with
said legal newspaper.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by said Board that the present con-
tract with the Greeley Journal, be, and hereby is, rescinded
effective February 22, 1978.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 22nd day of
February, A.D. , 1978.
