Home My WebLink About790344.tiff RESOLUTION RE: APPOINTMENT OF FRANCES CHRISTENSEN TO SERVE AS A MEMBER OF THE WELD COUNTY HEALTH BOARD WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, a vacancy now exists on the Weld County Health Board due to the resignation of Francis Meyers , and WHEREAS, it has been recommended to the Board of County Commissioners that Frances Christensen of Eaton, Colorado be appointed to fill said vacancy (District 2) . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com- missioners of Weld County, Colorado that Frances Christensen be, and hereby is, appointed to serve as a member of the Weld County Health Board for a term to expire May 23 , 1981 . Mr. Meyers' term will expire on May 23, 1981, and any appointment should specify that date. Terms of two other members officially expired on May 23rd, 1979. Those members are: Doris Deffke: District 4 Dr. David Werking: At Large Mrs. Deffke does not wish to seek reappointment; therefore, a vacancy exists for which we need applicants. The District 4 spot includes School District 6 east of 14th Avenue. Dr. Werking will probably seek reappointment, but has asked for a few more days to reach a definite decision. It would be my suggestion that the Board proceed with the appointment to the District 2 vacancy and at that time, announce in the Board meeting that you are seeking applicants for the District 4 position, with a request that any interested persons contact the Commissioners ' Office.
