Box A Greeley, CO 80632 Dear Director, The Works Allocation Committee (WAC) met on June 6, 2016 to distribute $2 million available through the employment focused funds (EFF) appropriated for FY 2016-17. Counties were eligible to apply for these funds if their basic cash assistance payments for SFY 2015-16 were more than fifty percent of their allocation for the same year. Based on this measure, there are 36 eligible counties. Weld County applied for $350,500 of the available funds. The WAC approved the workgroup recommendation of $122,714 for FY 2016-17. No county maintenance of effort contribution is required for receipt of these funds. Funds made available from this grant are to be expended for the purposes outlined in the county application. If the program initially proposed is not possible, please report back to the Works Allocation Committee on the changes from the original proposal. The funds will be reflected in the County TANF Allocation and available July 1, 2016. Any unexpended EF funds at the end of FY 2016-17 will remain with the county and be added to the county TANF reserves and subject to the county TANF reserve limit. Amounts in excess of the reserve will be treated similarly to all other excess reserves. The Division of Employment and Benefits will host a kickoff event July 22, for those receiving the funds to learn more about employment focused activities and the reporting requirements for the Works Allocation Committee and CFMS. If you have any questions, please contact Luis Garcia (luism.garcia@state.co.us) in my office. Decisions about the distribution of EFF should be addressed to the Works Allocation Committee and sent to Gini Pingenot (goingenot@ccionline.org). Sincerely, 066 Katie Griego y t Director, Division of Employment and Benefits 2016-2239 Hello
